Ephesians

Ephesians stands as the second of the great books of doctrinal instruction for this present dispensation of grace. In Romans, Paul sets forth the truth concerning the justification of the sinner in Christ as having died and risen with him. Now, in Ephesians, we are taken further and taught that the sinner not only died and rose again in Christ but that he is now in God’s presence and purpose, seated with Christ in heavenly places. Romans ends with a reference to the revelation of the mystery, Romans 16:25. Ephesians takes up the subject and unfolds it. Paul knew and taught the doctrines contained herein to the Ephesians before he wrote this epistle.
